Hey, Just a quick note.  When we were arranging my sisters funeral my gran picked a poem for me to read, it was: -

Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there.I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

The vicar did not want me to read this poem because of the last two lines.  "Do not stand at my grave and cry: I am not there, I did not die"   They wouldnt let me read this because christians are supost to accept death and those that die, and the poem might give out the wrong message about death to my sister's friends attending her funeral.

I wanted to read this poem because of the last two line, because it is what i beleive is true, or could be true. 

Just felt like finaly telling some one this.  What are your views??
